Reporter Radio is a first-of-its-kind smartphone application in Malayalam television Industry. It lets you listen to live audio from the REPORTER studio via the Internet. The app features a scheduler (timer) mode which allows the user to preset the running time and the application will be automatically triggered to shutdown once the timer expires. The idea behind this kind of app is, since only the live audio is transmitted via the Internet, latency and bandwidth concerns especially in 2G networks can be minimized to a extend.
